FAQ AND USEFUL THINGS TO KNOW!

-Press V


2. How can I select a specific quantity in the trade or purchase window?
-Hold SHIFT and right clic on the item. A small window will open asking you the quantity you wish. No more need to buy a whole batch of 20 in the personal shops when you only need one


3. How can I change the game language?
When opening the game, in the launch window, you can select the language you prefer
Note on the other hand that everything is not translated (into German, French or else), particularly the names of mobs and items ( they are in english).




4. How to fish and why?
-First of all, you will need to buy the book Directory of Fishing. You may find it in all master shop (Jaime, Roderick, Claris and Kyra)

-Then spend a point in your new Fishing skill (Each skill point spent enables you to use a new kind of bait)



Go meet the Grocery shop holder ( Tricia at Roxbury) to buy a fishing rod and some baits ( open the map by pressing "M"(qwerty) or "," ( azerty) to find where is located your Bartender)
They are actually selling only one type of fishing rod :the Regular Fishing Rod.
Two more rods can be used but they are only available in the Itemshop : the Bamboo Fishing Rod and the Fox Fishing Rod
Apparently, two more rods will be available in a upcoming patch : the Good Fishing Rod and the Iron Fishing Rod
You will have understood that according to your type of fishing rod, the chances of success are different.



-TO FISH :

1. Equip your baits by right clicking on them
2. Go close to water (fishing is only possible in the cities, therefore on the beach of Larksdowns you will not be able to fish loll)
3. Press C
4. Select the ACTION tab
5. And select the FISHING action at the bottom (you can put it in your Quick Slot Bar )
   

- Each type of bait enables you to catch various Pearls . There is 5 types of Bait and 5 types of Pearl

-Coming Soon : the type of Pearl according to the type of baits

-Fishes are for NOTHING, just sell them to a NPC


-WHY SHOULD I FISH?
The answer below at point 5..


5. Capability of seal

You can consult every sealbreaking costs ( in Pearls and Gelt) for every item level HERE

-A. What is a seal ?
A seal is a "hidden bonus". You have to break this seal to obtain the bonus on your item.
An item with a seal has a little lock in the lower right corner like this :


And in the item description it is written : capability of seal

• Weapons, armors and pants can have up to 5 seals.
• Gloves and shoes can have up to 3 seals.
• Shields don't have any seals on them.
• An item can have 2 seals and a SAME one can have 0 seal.
• The more seal an item has, the more valuable this item is! If you find an item with 5 seals, you are extremely lucky!
  

-B. How to break a seal?

-Go meet the bartender of your city ( Rosemary at Roxbury)
-Select SealBreak




-Move your item having at least 1 seal into the right window( or right clic on the item))
!!IMPORTANT!!!
The item you are trying to break HAVE TO BE in your inventory ( NOT equipped). Otherwise, nothing will occur....no message,no sound, nothing! So, move your item in your inventory before!


-It is then indicated the types and the quantities of Pearl and the amount of Gelt needed to break the seal.
NEW EXEMPLE COMING SOON (because the latest patch converts fishes to pearls),



-If you own the right amount of Pearls and Gelt, then you will be authorized to break the seal. Clic on Seal Break.
You can consult every sealbreaking costs ( in Pearls and Gelt) for every item level HERE

!!WARNING!!
When you break a seal, there is a certain percentage of chance that the operation may not function.
If it happens, you will lose 1 or more seals, your Pearls and your money (but not your item!)
Each seal has an independent probability to not function.

-If the extraction is a succes, your item will be improved with a bonus like this :




-Here are the different bonus you can obtain.
Since the 12th february patch : "The available values for unsealed items have been changed according to the piece of equipment or weapon they are applied to. Unsealing a Cariad will now for example result in the following options: Max HP, Max MP, Magic max attack power, Magic min attack power, Magic hit rate"

• Melee min. attack
• Melee max. attack
• Range min. attack
• Range max. attack
• Magic min. attack
• Magic max. attack
• Physical defense
• Magic resistance
• Melee hitting
• Long range hitting
• Magic hitting
  

-What are those things for?


Answer : In the ItemShop, it is possible to buy keys making it possible to increase the chances of success of extraction of the seal. It is in these boxes that they should be inserted.


6. Equipment upgrades

-A. Why should I upgrade my equipment?

-Upgrades are pretty useful since they make it possible to increase the stats of your equipment. For exemple, you can add some attackpower on a weapon, defense on gloves etc.
- It is possible to improve your object up to 10 times!! ( this information remains to be confirmed.... I think that nobody actually succeed to create a +10 object.


-B. How do I upgrade my equipment?

-You need some grades and crystals.

1. Grades:
You will find them on monsters
There is different kind of grades depending on the level of the object you wish to upgrade :

1. Grade 9 Upgrade Stone: 1 to 20
2. Grade 8 Upgrade Stone: 11 to 30
3. Grade 7 Upgrade Stone: 11 to 40
4. Grade 6 Upgrade Stone: 11 to 50
5. Grade 5 Upgrade Stone: 11 to 60
6. Grade 4 Upgrade Stone: 11 to 70
7. Grade 3 Upgrade Stone: 11 to 80
8. Grade 2 Upgrade Stone: 11 to 90
9. Grade 1 Upgrade Stone: 11 to 99
   

-Why can I use a grade 1 instead of a grade 9 for upgrading a level 13 object?? Both can be used, using one or another does'nt have any impact But obviously, a grade 1 has much more value than a grade 9 I suggest you to always use the lower grade you can and keep your grades 1 for your 90-99 objects

2. Crystals:
To obtain crystals you will need to sacrifice parts of equipment. Go meet the blacksmith of your town ( Mark at Roxbury) and clic on ITEM BREAK


You will get this windows :


Move your object to the right window (or right clic on it) and click on BREAK
You will acquire crystal(s) depending on the level of the object you broke.

1. Gray Crystal: 1 to 10
2. Green Crystal: 11 to 20
3. Yellow Crystal: 21 to 30
4. Blue Crystal: 31 to 40
5. Red Crystal: 41 to 50
6. Orange Crystal: 51 to 60
7. Pink Crystal: 61 to 70
8. Purple Crystal: 71 to 80
9. Black Crystal: 81 to 90
10. Rainbow Crystal: 91 to 100
    

3. It's time to upgrade!
- Click on ITEM UPGRADE


Move your object to the right window (or right clic on it), add a grade and one ( or more) crystal(s) of the right level. If everything is right, then : ""Upgrade is possible



There is nothing more to do than crossing your fingers and clicking on ITEM UPGRADE

!!WARNING!
When you attempt to upgrade an item, there are 4 possible options:

1. Nothing happens : No upgrade and you lose your materials, but NOT your item.
2. Initialization : You lose your materials and your item is reset to level 0 ( Initialization possible : +3 and higher)
3. Destruction : You lose your materials AND your item ( Destruction possible : +4 and higher)** On this official site, it is written +5 and higher....but it's false....
4. Succes
   

Here is an exemple :

-What are those things for?


Answer: In theItemshop, you can buy Mithril Powder wich allowed you to double the succes rate of upgrade and a Slate piece of Ancient preventing the destruction of your object. It is in these boxes that they should be inserted.

7. Which type of weapon should I choose?

Here a small table from the official website. There is a total of 7 weapon types, whose only the dagger can be used by all the classes.
A green check means that THIS class can used THIS type of weapon, on the other hand, a red X means that this class cannot use it.
Then, for each type, you can compare the damage dealt and the attack speed (or shooting range) with the other types.
+ : above everage
o : equal to the average
- : under everage


For example: the daggers make less damage but are faster than the average of all types of weapons.

The only thing left to do is to choose the appropriate type for the gameplay you prefer.


8. I can't find any hats, robes or bags, is this normal?



1. Hats, robes and bags ( increased the amount of slots in the inventory) are paying objects which you can only obtain in the official Cashshop. In the screenshot above, you can notice that the items encircled in red contained a small yellow C. It means, Itemshop item!
It should be noted that it is possible to buy the object in question in the player personal shops in game, but it is necessary to be ready to spend an astronomical sum of Gelt!

2. The red square slots are for Tattoos. Those are not introduced yet into the game. It is thus normal to not find some!


9. I can't use one of my skill....why?

Certain skills arepassive. That means that they do not require to be activated to be used. If there is a small P, then it is a passive skill


Here, the right skill makes it possible to increase its defensive power (at sea). If you spend a point in it, then your defensive power has just increased...for all life long!!
You don't have anything left to do! Passive skills can thus be very useful! They enable you to obtain a stat bonus and require any attention thereafter.


10. Is is possible to "reset" my skills and ability points?
Yes. However, to “reset” them it is necessary to use an object ONLY available in the official Itemshop.
It should be noted that it is possible to buy the object in question in the player personal shops in game, but it is necessary to be ready to spend an astronomical sum of Gelt!


11. How can I take look at my detailed character stats?
You all already know that you can consult your character information by pressing C (qwerty), but I am sure that several did not notice two small very important arrows
At the bottom of the information character window, there are two sections “Melee” in which it is indicated your PH, blow, hit, attack speed, critical and range and carried (only for melee), but...why there is twice the Melee section??? Because Melee is the Default one!
You can change them while clicking on the small yellow arrow! You will be able to know more aspects of your character!!

• Melee
• Distance
• Spell
• Defense
• Resistance

12. How can I drag an object from bag 1 to bag 2 in my inventory?
I was lately surprised to know that certain players had never clicked on a" strange" button in their inventory
This button in question makes it possible to “Show the bags outside the inventory window”
Some think that we cannot move an object from one bag to another… but they is quite false!!
Here the proof in pictures:

2. Then, clic on the Bag#2 and...TADAM!You can now have your two inventories one beside the other and thus be able to drag an object of bag 1 towards the bag 2




13. How is working the chat? When I ask for something, nobody answers me…

It should first be known that there are 6 types of chat ( or rather 6 channels). You can go from one to the other via the small drop-down list in the right corner of the chat window .


In Order
-General (gray) : Only the players around you ( near ones) will see your message in the chat window. By default, you are on the General channel, what explains why nobody answers you....
-Group (green) : Only the members of your group will see your message.
-Guild (blue) : Only the members of your guild will see your message.
-Trade (salmon-colored) : Only the players that are in the SAME région as you will see your message. If you are in Weedridge for exemple, only Weedridge will hear you.
-Shout (white) : EVERYBODY will see your message, no matter where they are! So watch your language!
-Whisper (pink) : Only THE specified player will see your message. To select someone, there are 3 ways to do so :

• You enter the name of the player here :
  
  
• OR You directly clic on the player's name in the chat window.
• OR You right clic on someone, then in the menu you can open by clicking on the small arrow, you select whisper
